Modern Nursery Custom Mobile: Final Images
I am over the moon with the results from this weekends photo shoot with my extremely talented photographer, Amy Braswell. I created this custom mobile for Jessica Manno, an art consultant from Chicago Art Source. The art on the wall is from Chicago Art Source Gallery! Great how the paintings compliment the mobile. Chicago Art Source offers art placement services for residential and commercial spaces, and Jessica is an asset to their creative team.
Jessica's style is very clean and modern. She asked me to bring in color into the brown and cream color story she had decided on by creating a Calder style mobile to go over the crib. I devised a plan to make a mobile filled with organic shapes made from hand felted pom poms, orange socks and piano wire to provide movement. The pom poms covered orbs remind me of dried allium bulbs, rotating planets or organic pods. Jessica does not know what the gender of the baby is yet, so I think this room is a perfect example of a modern gender-neutral nursery. I made the bolster pillow inside the crib too.
Many, many thanks to Jessica, Amy Braswell and Colleen Grusecki for her brilliant photo styling!!!

I would love to know who makes the fabulous crib in the nursery, I've been looking for one exactly like it.
Fabu mobile, I wish I had that kind of imagination!
I love the room! Could you list the source for the lovely wall stickers. Thank you.
