Green Woodland Owl

Initially I had made this owl for one of my stores out of Houston called Purple Mango, but I loved it so much I have added it to my product selection on b.delicious. The owls are a never ending it seems these days. I love this wood grain printed cotton.

Happy New Year! I have a feeling this is going to be a great year. Yeah to 2009!

Modern Bird Mobile

I just added a new product to b.delicious! A modern felt bird mobile is now available here. The birds are constructed from 100% wool felt hung on a canopy of piano wire. Size is about 15 x 12 x 12. Mobiles are no longer just for nursery's. Open any design magazine and moblies are cropping up in all kids of spaces, mostly not devoted to children's rooms.

Puppet Show Curtain: Final Images

I got the CD in the mail today from my photographer with all the high-resolution images of the puppet show curtain within the Moon and Star themed nursery. It took a bit for her to Photoshop out the wrinkles in the fabric, but the results look great!

I made three fingers puppets to fit into the built in pockets on the back of the curtain. The long thin vertical pocket is for the sticks when not being used to keep the opening stiff. My favorite is the Frog puppet in the top hat and necktie, perfect character to base a story!

Clubhouse Curtain

I have been working on a covert project after my kids are in bed, I am making a clubhouse curtain for my 4 1/2 year old daughters room. We have dormers on our house so all the bedrooms have odd wall and ceiling proportions, but makes for interest in the rooms. The main wall that runs along the back of her bed is short only about 45 inches high and then the ceiling slopes upward to about an 8-foot ceiling. On the adjoining wall, there is an armoire, so between the corner and the armoire there is a lovely cozy corner space that I plan to transform into her very own clubhouse. I am constructing a curtain with an open window and flap down door, which will attach to the slanted ceiling with mounted Velcro.

The image was taken at night (with a flash) so it is not as great as daylight. My only choice at this point until she opens it on Christmas morning! The main fabric is curtain-backing remnant and I spiced it up with fabric marker drawn wood grain, and cut felt. I plan to also add a sign that says, "Coco's Clubhouse".
