Stitched Drawings: Rebecca Ringquist

I love when life comes around full circle. I stumbled upon a former student's work of my back at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Rebecca Ringquist, from the blog Emily B. Rebecca Ringquist, laboriously creates drawings stitch onto fabric, with a sentimental twist and a whimsical flare. Her drawings on paper are amazing, but I am particularly attached to tactile relief feel of the sewn work. I wish I could touch it.

Raplapla: French Softies

These are not just your ordinary softies. They are a limited edition, expertly crafted, with a hilarious undertone. I particularly love the guy in the cape with the big heart shape sewn on his chest. The Raplapla website is beautiful, definitely worth a look! tip via Bloesem Kids blog.

Kids Modern Play Shed

This concept is so smart from company Modern Shed, a pre-fab assembly required modern play house for your kids. Something that looks great, stands the test of time and is functional...who could ask for more. The play shed can be colorful or neutral depending on your design needs. Great space for your kid’s imagination to blossom and would transition into the pre-teen and teen years when they are looking for an all boys or girls club house.

Inventive Kids Play Area

If you had the big basement or backyard this would be, a perfect portable kids place space. Reminds me of a tent, cave, or tree house that is moveable. I love that it is in the shape of a bug! Great design from British company Generate Design.

Animal Portraits: Kids Wall Art

I came across these great screen print company called Old School Stationers through Found Object blog. I absolutely love these animal portraits, in particular the portrait of the pig. Would make a fun twist for kids’ room wall art. I can even see them along side black and white of your kids. Sweet and funny.
